Marching Proud in Our Home City!

As part of our ongoing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) policy, Eliot Smith Dance (ESD) was honoured to take part in our third Northern Pride march on 19 July 2025 — right here in Newcastle, the city we proudly call home.

​

Not even the rain could dampen the spirit! This year’s Pride celebration stood in solidarity with the Trans+ community, offering a joyful, powerful day filled with unity, colour, and queer celebration.

​

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Northern Pride, Newcastle City Council, the emergency services, and the incredible volunteers who made this inspiring event possible.

At Eliot Smith Dance, we are committed to advocating for love, identity, and inclusion — not only through our performances, but in every step we take within our community. We’ll continue showing up, dancing loud, and standing proud—on stage and in the streets.​
