DANCE WITH PRIDE

Marching Proud in Our Home City!

As part of our ongoing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) commitment, Eliot Smith Dance (ESD) was proud to take part in our fourth Pride march on Saturday 25 July 2026, as Newcastle Pride returned to the heart of the city we proudly call home.

​

This year's inspiring theme, "City of Hope. Streets of Joy.", celebrated the strength, visibility and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community, bringing thousands of people together in a vibrant display of unity, hope and belonging. We were honoured to march alongside our community, celebrating every identity and standing together in support of a future where everyone feels safe, seen and valued.

A huge thank you goes to the Newcastle Pride team, Curious Arts, Newcastle City Council, the emergency services, volunteers, performers and everyone working behind the scenes to make this incredible celebration possible. Your passion and dedication created another unforgettable day for our city.

At Eliot Smith Dance, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We believe dance has the power to connect people, celebrate individuality and create spaces where everyone belongs. Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion extends far beyond the studio and the stage, we are proud to stand with our community, amplify LGBTQIA+ voices and champion love, acceptance and opportunity for all.
