Tony Polo was born in Glasgow, Scotland starting his dance journey at the age of 18. He began his training at Dance Studio Scotland, specialising in a variety of styles. During this time he was also selected to join the Scottish Ballet Youth Exchange which saw him performing internationally in Torino and New York City. 

In 2020 he started his training at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and throughout this time he has worked with many industry professionals including Oona Doherty, Saju Hari, Ben Wright, Company Chameleon, Gracefool Dance Collective and Glitterbomb Dance Company.

Since graduating he has worked with choreographer Carlos Pons Guerra in the opera show Maria De Buenos Aires in association with Northern Opera Group. Most recently he collaborated with Imogen Reeve of Excessive Human Collective in research and development.

Tony joined ESD in autumn 2023 and his credits with the Company include: The Three Jolly Ghosts of Christmas.
