We are doing everything possible to protect our dancers, artists and creatives during our work. To make it more manageable during these unprecedented times, we create and perform dance works with smaller cast(s), no live audience. We are using many creative solutions as well as recognised measures to be able to bring our dance performances and events to your screens, including: isolation, testing, working from home when possible, increased cleaning, sanitizing, and bubble. We are following the current Government advice, industry and One Dance UK specific guidelines and are constantly reviewing and adapting our plans whenever needed.
Autumn 2020 season
This autumn our Artistic Director and professional dancers and some artists have been isolating at home before moving into a house near the rehearsal studio and were able to safely live and work together as one household. The house was exclusively taken over by our ESD team and had strict Covid protocols and risk assessments of its own. This means the professional dancers are able to have close contact with one another at work. The bubble is exclusive and the professional dancers are not able to form other bubbles with anyone else whilst they are working in ESD's autumn season. The professional dancers will follow Government guidelines on social distancing with anyone who is not in their household or support bubble. If someone develops symptoms at work they are immediately sent home to isolate and be tested, including those who are in the same bubble. At the end of November the professional dancers and artists filmed the dance works for the Virtual Triple Bill online performance scheduled for 03 December 2020.
